I'm a newbie in the Forum and I have a question.
« on: February 08, 2010, 09:44:20 AM »
For anyone who has a 12 x 12 printer: I would like to know where to buy 12 x 12 scrapbook paper that prints good pictures. I know Epson has one and it is expensive. Is there any other brand that works good?

Thanks,

anita2555

Hi Anita and welcome to our Forum.

I don't have a 12 x 12 printer, but I have a friend who has one.  She has stopped using photo paper to print layouts because of the expense.  She uses a textured cardstock and her layouts look fabulous!  Just an option you might like to try...

Hi Anita and welcome!
I have a 12x12 printer - I have also stopped using photo paper.  I sometimes use Epson's Velvet Fine Art Paper which is also very expensive but the results are phenomenal!  I usually use this paper not for regular scrapbook pages but for when I want to make a good quality print of a layout for framing or as a gift. I am afraid to say that I usually send my layouts out to print, my printer's ink is also very expensive so between the paper and ink it is much cheaper for me to send them out to print.

Thanks Maria. Do you mind if I ask where you send them to for printing?

Shutterfly.  I upload my finished LOs in jpeg format to My Albums in Shutterfly.  Then you go to Store and click on PrintsAndPosters.  There you go to ScrapbookPages.  Choose the size you want (8x8 or 12x12), then scroll down to PrintYourDigitalScrapbook, Next and Get Pictures.  At this step you get the LO in jpeg format from My Albums.  Then click to paste to the page, save, etc and order. They start at about $5 for 12x12 but they look incredible!  And right the first time!
Another feature that I use is Photo Books.  During the year I upload my finished LOs to a photo book and then print the photo book at the end of the year.  This is much less expensive than printing individual LOs and they come beautifully bound and ready.
Hope this helps!  Let me know if you have any other questions.
